Christian G. Koch received his Doctor of Business Administration in finance from the University of South Florida, Tampa. He is also a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School in Cambridge, Massachusetts. His areas of expertise include investments, wealth management, financial planning and financial literacy. His dissertation research was focused on Warren Buffett. Specifically, on how Buffett’s long-term investment strategy challenges the conventional wisdom on academic finance. Dr. Koch’s academic publications have appeared in leading journals. Currently, Dr. Koch is a Lecturer in Finance at NC State University in the Poole College of Business. He teaches (BUS422), Investments and Portfolio Management, and (BUS320), Financial Management. Prior to coming to NC State University, he was a Professor of Finance at Dalton State College. He taught (FIN3056) Principles of Finance, (FIN3201) Investments, and (FIN4701) Finance Case Studies. Prior to coming to Dalton State, he was a member of the adjunct faculty at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Virginia where he taught Principles of Investments (FIN324) and Wealth Management and Financial Planning (FIN525) in the Masters of Financial Analysis program. He is the founder of KAMSouth, a private wealth management and financial planning firm based in Atlanta, GA.
